For coaches

For coaches who already assign a book

You already give the client a book. The session after that is the problem. They read it, or they meant to, and they arrive with a general impression. You spend the hour reconstructing the chapter instead of working the case.

Scholias is the workbook between sessions. The client works the book in the author's voice, on their own situation, and brings the saved exercise back. You are not being asked to become a content channel.

The offer

One complimentary coaching edition, on a public-domain classic, for you to try with one client. No rights to clear, nothing to sign, no fee. The client claims it on the book page with an email. Reading happens in Claude. A free Claude account is enough. You add the connector once.

The artifact is the point. The exercise is saved to a workbook, so the next session starts from what they actually answered, not from "so how was the book?"

This is not a seat license for a firm, and it is not a club. One coach, one client, one classic, then you decide if the workbook is worth the hour it saves.

What you still do

You choose the book, the way you already do. You read what they brought back. You decide whether the author's frame fits this client. The coach in the book does not replace that. It does the repetition: the passage, the question, the pushback, the note.

If your method is a modern book you wrote, that is a different arrangement. Your edition, reviewed by you before a reader sees it, sold as a single payment, revenue shared, rights stay yours. That is the author path, not this one. Do not start there to test the workbook.

Which classic, by the practice

The client keeps arriving withThe book to tryWhy this one
No boundary on the dayHow to Live on 24 Hours a DayBennett asks for three evenings, not a new life
Other people's moods running the weekMeditationsThe distinction is concrete enough to test on one incident
Agreement, and no aimAs a Man ThinkethThe circumstances chapter is the one to argue with, in session
Money leaking and no ruleThe Richest Man in BabylonThe rule fits on a line. The parable is what they remember.
A talk they are avoidingThe Art of Public SpeakingCarnegie and Esenwein on the work of preparing, not on charisma

A career coach, an executive coach, and a therapist using a book as bibliotherapy are the fit. A fiction club is not. A company book-of-the-quarter usually wants a current title, which this shelf is not.

How to try it

1. Pick one classic from the table. 2. Claim it yourself on the book page, so you have seen the voice before a client does. 3. Give the client the same page. Their email is their account. There is no password. 4. Ask them to bring the saved exercise to the next session, not a summary.

If the workbook is not something you would put in front of a client, stop. That is the test.

Book pages: How to Live on 24 Hours a Day, Meditations, As a Man Thinketh.

For the author arrangement, the authors page is the offer: no setup fee, you review it before it goes live, you keep the rights.
